CHASSITY RAUSCHER

Chassity Rauscher has been playing the cello since she was 11 years old. She started in her Elementary Orchestra Program. The following year Chassity started playing saxophone as well as continuing her studies on cello. She played both instruments throughout high school and college. She played guitar with her family as a hobby throughout this time. After graduating from Allen High School, Chassity began her Bachelor’s studies in Music Education at Texas Tech University under Dr. Alex Ezerman and Mr. David Dees. She completed her studies under Mr. Lastrapes. During her time at TTU, she performed with various chamber groups, as well as the TTU Symphony Orchestra, Goin’ Band from Raiderland, Plainview Symphony. Big Springs Symphony, and many other ensembles. In May of 2010, Chassity received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and began her teaching career with Katy ISD. She moved to Frisco ISD summer of 2015. Chassity is excited to continue here at Rodriguez Middle School in Denton ISD. She is now in her 12th year of teaching. Chassity has a tremendous passion for teaching and performing music and is extremely thankful for having such a loving family who supports her in everything she does. Chassity and her husband, John, who is the current director of Orchestras at Pearson Middle School in Frisco ISD, met in the TTU Symphony Orchestra and were married on May 24, 2009. They have three children, Logan, Trinity, and Ava.
